What is Fuel?
Fuel is simply what the fire burns. In this case, vegetation, dead trees, and grass are common examples. Fuel has built up in our forests over the last several years because a lack of consistent rainfall has only allowed new vegetation to grow and die every year, this lack of water has left the trees stressed and susceptible to wildfire.
